Adjustable to screen formats
The wonderful new world of 16:9. Viewers are visually attracted to widescreen TV. But do you have all the content in a 16:9 format? Movies, images, presentations? Most likely not, as about 80 per cent of possible content comes in a 4:3 format if it is not produced specifically for 16:9. miX-L allows you to turn your 16:9 screen format into a 4:3 format, and you may use the remaining available strip with additional content. This way you avoid annoying distortions or black borders, and achieve an additional benefit.
These are just a few examples and suggestions, of course. After all, you may split your output as you want!
Using miX-L software, you can split output on your screens as you want – into as many channels as you like that display whatever you consider useful at the time you desire: events, images, commercials, entertainment, tickers, TV, DVD, camera, PowerPoint, Flash, video clips...
You can also create transparent channels and superimpose your logo or ticker over a video, for example. Channels are only available in version /M or higher. The number of channels is only limited by the type of license or the performance of your computer.
Why add channels to your program?
Simultaneous Streaming of Information
A major advantage of channels is the possibility to transmit several pieces of information at the same time. The human brain can hold up to seven pieces of information for a certain amount of time. So why not make multiple uses of the valuable time the viewer spends watching your program? Or combine content, e.g. in a travel agency where you show an advertising film on Jamaica on the left side of screen with corresponding last minute offers on the right. You don’t need sophisticated programming and you may update content in real time. The very combination of entertainment and advertisement prevents commercial breaks, for example, and thus keeps the viewer amused and glued to the screen. By the way: many news channels already use this technology and display main image, stock market prices, weather updates and headlines...
Attracting viewers with one channel while advertising with another
It would be nice if your viewers came specifically to watch your offers and advertisement. Unfortunately this doesn't happen in most cases – rather it is an exception. This is why it comes in handy to grasp viewers’ attention with a visually attractive and entertaining program on one large-sized channel. Within a few seconds viewers’ attention is directed to simultaneously-displayed advertisements and you will maximize the information broadcast in terms of quantity and quality immediately.
