Sixt now relies on memedia CarBrowser

CarBrowser from SixtMunich November 2011: To support used and new cars sales, “Sixt Autoland” now relies on the CarBrowser system in 2x locations: Munich-Garching and Carpark-Eching. The CarBrowser offers a new modern, hands-on innovative customer experience.

Setting filters to narrow down the selection or bookmark favored cars are just a “touch away”. The CarBrowser not just looks like a huge smartphone it actually works like an app known from smartphones. To drive a decision, customers will get all information such as features, make, model, engine, mileage, etc. If the car is not available in the desired color, customers can search across branch offices. Pictures come in high resolution with zoom. Even more: social networks such as twitter, facebook are supported as well as email and printing.

CarBrowser by memedia supports the web services provided by AutoScout24 thus allowing the CarBrowser to synchronize automatically using a pull-mechanism to store all pictures and data locally. Storing the adata locally means the system works in any environment even without “internet” or 3G. In addition there is no waiting for the pictures to appear as all data already exists on the internal hard-disk. There is no data maintenance as you have done this in autoscout24 already. The CarBrowser truly is “plug and play”, says Swen Topp, sales manager, memedia.

CarBrowserThe CarBrowser system consists of a control-desk with an integrated mini PC, a 32 inch touch screen including a comprehensive service-package including corporate design and logo and all software licenses. The CarBrowser comes with a 3G-based internet access included thus allowing true plug and play “mobile applications”.

The CarBrowser system is based on memedia’s digital signage solution „miX-L. Technology-wise the rich feature-set of „miX-L” will lead into future software updates such as “seasonal dealer specific sales promotions” and therefore makes the CarBrowser a future-proof investment. “The comprehensive CarBrowser package including all services as well as the innovative interactive touch technology did convince us.
